Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Watchdog ("the Service"), operated by Animiso. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Watchdog is an uptime monitoring service that checks whether websites are accessible and sends alerts when they go down. We also provide AI-powered diagnosis to help identify the cause of downtime. The service is provided as-is.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to use Watchdog.
• You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
• One person per account. Don't share your login.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Watchdog.

Acceptable use

You may only monitor websites that you own or have explicit permission to monitor. You may not use Watchdog to:

• Monitor sites without the owner's permission.
• Perform any form of attack, stress testing, or scraping.
• Circumvent any security or access controls.
• Abuse the service in a way that disrupts other users.
• Resell or sublicense the service without permission.

Free trial

New accounts get a 7-day free trial to monitor up to 2 sites. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, monitoring pauses unless you upgrade to a paid plan. We don't auto-charge you.

Paid plans and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. You can cancel at any time from your billing page — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial months, but if something goes wrong on our end, reach out and we'll make it right.

Uptime and reliability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime for the monitoring service itself. Watchdog is not liable for missed alerts caused by our own downtime, network issues, or third-party service failures. Do not rely on Watchdog as your sole method of site reliability monitoring for mission-critical infrastructure.

AI diagnosis

The AI diagnosis feature provides suggestions based on error codes and is not guaranteed to be accurate. It is provided as a helpful guide only. We are not responsible for any actions taken based on AI diagnosis output.

Data and privacy

Your use of data collected by Watchdog is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay. We'll try to give reasonable notice unless the violation is severe.

Limitation of liability

Watchdog and Animiso are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 30 days.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be handled in good faith. If we can't resolve something, we'll figure out the appropriate jurisdiction together.
